Hi all, I'm Chris, 27 from Chesterfield in Derbyshire.

Just picked up a 2.2 Vectra SRI hatchback, basically I just wanted a good runaround for the kids and a work hack, been a Vauxhall nut since I could drive, past cars include 3 Vectra GSI's, an Omega 3.0 MV6 drift car and a Cavalier Turbo 4x4!

The new car is in brilliant condition, very very clean and tidy all around, chain got done at 40k (91k at the moment), anything to be wary of with these engines? They come with good reviews, heard the oil jets can be problematic

chains are the main thing if there real noisy
but some lumpy running can be caused by a faulty egr valve

ran mine with the blanking plate and egr shut off in the ecu(by vauxhall) from when i 1st had the car 7-8 years ago
now you don't need to have it shut off in the ecu it can be mimicked with an egr cheater then just add the egr blanking plate
but only if you suspect that the egr is faulty and causing issues 🙂

Seems fine but never been a fan of EGR's anyway, always blanked them off!

Thanks all, do I need to create a different account for the shop? Wanting EGR Plate and cheater!

Yes, unfortunately, they are a separate application, so you need a different account for each.

I've just sold the last of the cheaters and blanking plates this afternoon, and it's going to be Monday before the new bits from maplins arrives (and I need to go to VX to get some more blanking plates). I can add them back in stock if you are willing to wait a few days after placing your order?
