Had a busy weekend this week, a freind of mine bought an astra 1.9 cdti twintop around a month ago cheap.
However it had a noisey dmf and had missed a service.
So he put a list of jobs to be done together that he wanted doing
Cambelt kit
Full service(oil, air, pollen and fuel filters)
Brake fluid change
Eibach springs
Dmf, Clutch and slave cyl , inc gear oil change.
Remap with dpf delete and egr delete options
Hid's
so set about that little lot at 1pm on friday, started with the remap 1st then removed the dpf and blanked the egr for good measure( turned off in ecu anyhow) and then the springs, done the service too,so that took care of friday afternoon.
Saturday was clutch day, started at 9am , job was done by 4 after having issues bleeding the clutch, then probs with the steering angle sensor deciding it didnt want to be calibrated anymore..,so a bit of research later and an opcom session all was good,, then fitted the hids which rounded of a hectic day and a half.
A few pics of the dmf job and mapping the car
