MK4 Astra Heater Control bulb replacement?

Hi guys, as title, not long got my MK4 to knock about in but one of the heater control bulbs has blown, a quick google suggests I have to pretty much dismantle the whole centre console.. is there any way at all the bulb can be changed without having to go to this extreme?

If so are there any guides on here? Or quick how to's from the pro's? 😃

hey there are 3 twist type bulbs in the heater control and im afraid its a console out job
this requires you to remove the head unit and the screws behind the ashtray lid
there is a guide in the Resources section 🙂

Are they the same ones as you would use on the instrument cluster Carl?

yeah but i can't remember if theres 2-3 or 4 now lol
i know that the t5 is the led equivalent but can't think of the osram code for them

i took a pic for someone on FB yesterday that had forgotten the cable locations

Thats cool then, got loads of the t5's hanging around so I can do that at some point.
