Hi all,
I am still having intermittent starter motor problems. I think I now have decent voltage/current from the UEC down the solenoid wire to the starter solenoid, and have remade the earth to the engine block, and also the main earth behind the battery case. At least the starter solenoid is clicking in these days, and the engine is firing up 3 times out of 5. There was also some corrosion on the main 12 volt terminal tag to the starter motor - I cleaned that off and peeled back the insulation tape for 10 mm and it looked shiny. I'm now wishing I had peeled it back a bit further, but it is difficult to get at up above the solenoid.
Anyone else had earthing / corrosion issues around the starter circuit ?
Regards
