Fitting Vectra C intake

Hi all,

I keep attempting to fit my enlarged Vectra C or at least remove the existing intake and I really can't see a way of doing it.

I have looked at dropping the top radiator mounts and this won't give enough clearance, neither will dropping the off-side headlight ...

How have other people done this arduous task? If I hadn't already got one I wouldn't be bothering LOL

It is a pain

remove air box, throttle body, air intake pipe

I used screwdriver and hammer on anything that didst unscrew and ripped it out

installing is a different matter and it will wind you up and cut the fuck out of your knuckles

i unbolted the rad and then pushed it back some
but like mike said ball ache to fit

I'm feeling this is something I should've done before I put the engine back in!! lol

Front bumpers got to come off mine, so its ok, ill just drop the rad a touch :-)

Every one moans about fitting these, hence reason why I never fitted one.

I'll give it one final attempt this weekend then smash the thing in a fit of rage if it won't go in LOL

Right. Popped the right hand clip off the assembly and it slid out lovely 🙂

Intake now fitted and another item off the list 🙂

Man, i just did this, thought it would be the easiest job, didn't even bother looking at how to's as I thought it'd just be, pop one out put other in, but ended up taking about 2 hours!!! :wideyed:

Didn't even take me 10 minutes?

Removed airbox to tb pipe, then removed airbox. Put vec c pipe in, put a self tapprr through the hole on the slam panel, popped the hose connector on, popped airbox back in, screwed it all down the fitted airbox to tb pipe. Job done.
