Never heard of it myself plus thats what i found also .Ford focus seems to have this problem also all i could find are vids on youtube testing the voltage to the egr but i haven't had the chance yet been too busy. I changed the egr as i had a spare at the garage but spanner light still been on a couple of times since. cleaned the egr pipe airline through it , a bit of soot came out but nothing major that would cause blockage nothing in the block either poked a welding rod straight through so will try and get the voltage tested see what happens. If i cant find out anymore info then will probably try the egr cheater
