I havent been on in a while, but i picked this up the other week

I managed to get this as a swap for the vr6 engine out of my golf vr6!

It needs a clutch and cambelt doing, it also needs a new alternator

Its a 1.8 1 smoking owner from new! FSH tax till december and mot till june

Now for pics.......

I have already made a start on the inside, been over the plastics and the leather with APC

I needed a stiffer brush on the leather and this is the after pics

The steering wheel is going to need some more tlc

Getting some silly quotes on the clutch fitting almost £300 🙁
I got the clutch kit for £190

well don't buy that one in the link im going to the bank tomorrow to see if they will lend me 6k 🙂
mate at work has the 1.8(burgundy) its a tidy motor and they still pull well for what they are

The stink inside from the smoke is something else!
What would you say its worth? it has 118k on the clock 1 owner FSH, i am doing the clutch and new cambelt water pump etc
The body has 2 small car park dents and that is it

stick an air con bomb in it then clean the roof you would never know the difference
not sure on the price most 2.2 coupes with 100k+ are £700-1000 have a gander on autotrader at the 1.8's that would give you a ruff guide in price
to save the effort

there is not many 1.8 edition 100's about 🙁 I dont want to spend to much on the car and it end up owing me cash.

thats tru theres not many but dont think it would add much to the price maybe £200-300 max

mine owes me nout even tho i spent about 2k on it since crimbo its gonna last me another 7 years lol unless i turbo it then it will prolly blowup of get crashed 🙂

i got to get me some of them runners mine clunks on the way down and if im driving and putting the window up and hit a blade of grass in the road the window rolls down the finger safety thing lol

I am going to give the roof another heavy clean down and the carpets to, need the smell out :lol: then will get a air con bomb thing

Well cleaned the roof lining today, pics as they were drying out

Will get some better pics in the daylight

Need to look at poly bushes! The car handles like a barge!
Scary feeling and no confidence it will do anything 🙁
