Another eml question

Right then i might be mad after my last z22se threw its inside out along the m1 but I'm looking at another one.

The problem is the seller says the eml light is on but it because they have a k&n cone filter fitted inside the air box "without the lid". Now i haven't been to look at it yet so i haven't got any codes.
My question is could having this fitted cause the eml to come on? I just don't want a wasted journey and the hassle of taking my laptop with me to find out it is something different (i know there still is a chance)

yeah hes talking nonsence, there is no way for the engine to know wether there is an air filter or not.
youd get away with none for a while before you even caused much damage unless it had a MAF sensor. my mate used tights on one of his minis, went up nicely when it forefired:ROFLMAO:

hes pulling a fast one and hoping by saying this he'll get away with it. DONT trust him.

That's what I was thinking mate. I did tell him i knew what i was talking about (even though i dont lol) and he said it would be ok if i brought my laptop down with "vauxhall software" on 😃 and he said ok but now i think ill pass on it, (even though the plate on it is worth £550 according to a valuation i did) as i really can't be doing with the hassle of another going on me 🙁
