Both fans stuck on

I've got a astra bertone 2.2 an both the cooling fan an the Ac fan are stuck on full all the time even when i turn off the engine i have to flick the key to stop the fans Properly. I've tried to change the cooling Module and that didn't stop it can you help please

Take out fuses till you figure out how to fix

hmm is the coolant temp sensor plugged in, first thing i change is that in all honesty

Yes mate I've done that I just keep putting the fuse in when it gets warm

Yes I did that an try'd The battery off for half an hour to reset the ecu

When this is unplugged fan just stays on constantly maybe it is faulty
Ac is not mega important so you could leave it unplugged

I did think that but the Ac is a different system an it's stuck on :S I mite try a engine ecu off eBay

Are any lights coming up on the dash? I would get it up on op-com as suggested if you can.

I had a similar problem, and found the AC system can cause the fans to come on all the time. In my case it was because the pressure sensor on the condenser was unplugged so might be worth a look making sure everything is plugged in properly.

As you look at the car from the front it is plugged into the left hand side of the AC rad, the one nearest the front

op-com is not just a scanner its shows the things running
if its not the temp sensor then it could be something in the cooling module or a faulty relay

I've have a look its All plugged in The bloody thing lol :S

Best bet is op-com then as it will show you the codes stored in the cooling module

any warning lights on dash for electric coolant module ?

No mate no lights on the dash but I've only had the car a few weeks it came with this problem an a nocking engine so I've Swap the engine over and its fine now but I can't get this fan thing sorted. I will take the clocks out an check all the Bulbs are there :S

ac fan should switch off when engine off but other fan will run until engine temp is dropped

hmm i also know if egr valve wiring is shorted it causes all the fans to stay on
