The Vectra 2.2 DTI SRI?

Looks something like this? But hopefully in black. lol

Thinking of selling the sri 150, and looking into purchasing one of these, around the 02/03 mark.

Whats your opinions on them? good or bad.

My brother in law had a vec sri with 2.2 z22se lump in..went really well and was nice to drive..think the diesel engine are pretty much bullet proof.

yep, that specific 2.2 engine is really nice, my dad had it in his signum, pulled really nice, and as Daz already said, they are bullet proof

If you can go for the CDTi they are more refined enigines 1.9 120bhp or 1.9 150 bhp ....

Go for the diesel if its available!
Tuning is easier, a £500 (est) re-chip could boast the power to nearly 200 and something insane like 300 ft/lb torque!!
And still do 30 MPG

How far does £500 go on a Z22se..............not very!

i just got rid of my 2.2 coupe and gone for a 3.0cdti vectra,what a motor,now just got to get used to driving a auto again

Cheers guys. Yeah i thought that about the engine. Most Diesel cars are now these days.

Just gotta find the time to sell my 150, and find a nice one that i like and can afford! lol

ive got a brand new 1.9cdti as my company car and i have to say its the worst car ive ever driven in terms of cornering.
it has to have the sloppiest chassis ever.

My 55 reg vec C 150sri cdti was terrible at handling, probably why I rolled it :shock:

but my 56 reg vec C 150sri cdti handles superb notsure.gif

no idea why the difference, as exactly the same spec what..

Give the dti a miss mate as its discontinued and down on power compared to the CDTI. There are 2 CDTI 1.9 engines, one with 120 bhp (8v) and one with 150 bhp (16v). To tell the diference from the outside just look at the CDTI badge, the 150 bhp has the TI bit in red. Superb engine, best in range for power against mpg. Add a simple plug and play box for about £200-£300 and youve got nearly 200 bhp and masses of torque. Dont forget the 3.0 v6 CDTI standard 176 bhp boxed adout 220 bhp! GSI eater.

Another grand and your there mate. Shop around , keep off network Q cos you'll never get one one there for that. Take a look in the small garages and im sure you will find one.

Whats peoples thoughts on the 2001/2001 model of the DTI SRI 130bhp?

Been looking around, and these seem to be coming up here and there, for about the same kinda price i would get for the 150 i have.

What are these engines like? And also, what is the tuning potential? As i really want a Diesel so it can be chipped and remapped to gain some extra bhp out of it.
