What do people think of Vortex systems and their claims?
More power
More torque
Better MPG
Less emissions

At least 10% gain in horse power.. hmmmm
I spoke to them on the phone and they said the vortex flow reduces back pressure giving better fuel economy as well

they must be good i've never heard of them 🙂
is that 10% for N/A or turbo i'd ask for a money back guarantee on there 10% claim

I actually got the name confused earlier. I was thinking of Wortec (which is fitted to the VXR8s)

Never really heard of them, for a turbo 1.8 Vag car they are saying 75BHP increase!

Mate of mine had a vortex on his 2.0 ventral a few years back and it made a hell of a difference.

That's like stage two with 1.8 unit / stage 2 map / FMIC / full exhaust system.

But an exhaust system can produce this on its own?

They do seem ok systems but surely there claims are bit on the high side, surely if they gave that kinda gain everyone would have one?

on NA engines nothing gives those gains

you looking 5% increase tops and that is manifold back

Reading up it looks like you need one of there maps as well as there systems. The exhaust doesn't give that gain on its own.

I was beginning to suspect that, but you have to do a lot of digging to figure that out.

They fitted on be of these systems to a cobra that couldn't pass mot emitions on "wheeler dealers". It passed after the zorst was fitted. I can't remember exactly how the back pressure bit worked but its similar to an expantion chamber on a 2 stroke so in affect it pulls the gasses out.

I find it hard to believe considering the years spent on this forum and the money spent and the relatively little gains
