Starting engine after replacing head and chains

I have just rebuilt an engine after the timing chain snapped.

Apart from running the engine on the starter to get the oil pressure up before start up is there anything else that is recommended on this engine?

thats about all you need to do, I usually just start them up and the oil light goes straight out 🙂

Got the car back together today. Tense moment but the car started first time, no faults, engine management light went out etc.

Done over 200 miles in the car now. Only issue is a little oil, and I do mean a few drops, leaking from the main cam chain tensioner.

Is this normal??

Yes it is. And I have also checked it again and again. It is the smallest amount of oil so I will just keep my eye on it.
