It's staying quite standard due to insurance costs :eek:

She didn't like the Design badges on the doors so I have pulled them off. Ordered some new mats as the originals are missing :rolleyes:

But otherwise it's getting a genuine cam belt kit and full service ready for summer :cool:

It's an 08 plate and done 23500 miles from new, it looks brand new inside and out 🙂

Astra. The TwinTop was available in three trim levels with a range of engines in each, including a 200 PS (147 kW; 197 hp) 2.0L turbo and the 1.9CDTi diesel in 150 PS (110 kW; 148 hp) form.

Z20LEL, Z20LER and Z20LEH. The differing designations denote the engine power output, 170 hp, 200 hp (149 kW) and 240 hp (179 kW)

yes it's the z20ler engine.

Had the first niggle with it yesterday, the coolant sensor can showed low coolant when it was fine. The solution is either replace the bottle and sensor or top the coolant up by 10mm, so I topped it up :rolleyes:

new mats arrived and fitted, but the stupid coolant warning keeps popping up when the engine is cold, so a new sensor will be purchased this week :rolleyes:

Is that a common fault on those engines?

very common fault, had to order a new sensor as it still keeps putting up the fault when cold - I have monitored the coolant level and it's not moved even 1mm :mad:

Suppose it's a fairly easy fix though for a man of your calibre 😉

New genuine sensor is sat on the bench, along with the genuine front mudflaps / GM oil filter / GM air filter and some decent engine oil.

Hopefully get that lot done this weekend 🙂
