I had a few posts on here of my problem with Z22YH and misfire under load.
Well I sold the car as is to a kind of mechanic.
Hes fed me all sorts of rubbish about it, overtightened rocker cover, snapped screw, cracked cylinder head. I spoke to him yesterday and he has confirmed the problem.
Timing chain has jumped 1 tooth and bent 4 valves.
Hes telling me it was put onto the wrong tooth. I believe him on that but I got thinking. He told me it had also taken part of the rail off again.
Now that tells me 1 thing. It has jumped a tooth which is why it has taken out some of the rail.
I don't believe it would have been put on 1 tooth out as why would it have damaged the rail if so??
It also lasted 1500 miles before misfiring.
Well, the car is now out of my care and with someone who can afford to fix it up.
I now have a 2006 Mazda 6 with 33K which I am well pleased with so this will be my last post here.
Thanks for all the help over the short period I have been on here and all the best to the team running this forum.
