snowy What grade oil would people recommend for the 2.2 Z22SE with around 100000 mile on the clock? Any particular make of oil recommended? Also the same question for the coolant? Thanks
JohnnyN As Matt has mentioned. Genuine GM Coolant. As for oil, I only ever used Genuine GM Oil upto a few years ago. I was using GM oil for a few years after the SC conversion and then I went to Fuchs Titan Race Pro and now i'm using Millers Nanodrive.
snowy I know it sounds daft but do you have a part number for the GM oil and coolant. My GM parts dept is useless, if I don't have the exact part number or description they don't have it!! Thanks
JohnnyN Coolant is straight off the shelf for them at the dealer. They would have to be incredibly stupid, lol! Oil is GM Dexos 2 5w-30 Longlife Oil IIRC?
Sjdickso You should be fine with oil and coolant as they normally have them facing the customer. If you haven't got trade I would check give autovaux a call http://www.autovaux.co.uk/LoadPortal.aspx?cnum=72&tabid=5&vnum=128
evocarlos i get my gm from the vx dealer at £22 with discount but normally but it with a filter so its like £30 all in but in the past i've had a load of oil from autovaux and it was delco oil i see they now sell gm branded oil 20l for £65
Matt VX is stupidly expensive for oil, unless you have trade, in which case, it's stupidly cheap.
Matt MikeS said: is it not like £40 for 20 litres if you buy a 4 pack box with trade club Yeah, it's crazy. £15 each, or 4 for the price of 3.
