Needs a wash

I hate not having a garden tap in my current house! Used to be outside every weekend before.

I had a similar issue at our hold house. I had to have a tap fitted when we moved in, and even then, I needed to buy a 30m hose pipe so it would reach around the side to the front of the house. Flat before didn't have one, so had to take it to the in-law's each weekend to wash it.

Bloke at work has just got a small pot of Supernatural. I'm going to see if I can "borrow" some to give it a try. I've still got loads of Purple Haze to use up though, but I want to see what all the fuss is about Supernatural.

Parents owned my old maisonette, which was really nice, front and rear gardens along with drive and garage, hose from the bathroom out the front worked great. My parents sold it, to help fund their New Forest house.

We are now renting in Burnham at 3 bed house, no drive, just off street car park behind, and no way to get a hose unless it comes from the kitchen, but then I don't want any "accidents".

Nup, there goes the deposit! Which we need! Looking at a house in Chipping Norton, but its a hour commute to work each way..

Wouldn't fancy a 2 hour commute each day. I don't like the fact I have to drive 10 minutes

I can get to work in 20 minutes on the bike, but with me doing a lot of running as well, cycling to work and back as well is a bit much. Going to do some more this summer though, as the bike hasn't been out of the shed in over a year now.

They look nice too! I like new builds but I also like ones I need to work on, I'm quite good at home improvements.

Quicker to ride for me, loads of traffic and traffic lighted one ways under train bridge. I'm sure the people sitting in traffic who see me each day zoom past on the bike curse and swear at me! lol

I hate DIY, I get annoyed because I usually can't finish it as quick as I want. The first house we bought needed a lot of work doing to it, and I hated every minute of it.

The worst job was fitting the loft insulation, as it was a 1930s end terrace, that had never had any fitted, so the loft was filthy.

I was going to run some cat5 from the living room to the upstairs spare room. Planned to run it up through the floor via the under stairs cupboard.

In the end, I tucked it down the side of the carpet and ran it up the stairs. :oops:

I was going to run some cat5 from the living room to the upstairs spare room. I ran it though a hole to the outside, aerial cable was already dangling against the wall so I ended drilling the wall and securing both cables up using clips.. 🙂

That was actually one of my options. The cable was already going to the outside of the house via a hole in the bay window, as it was connected to the CCTV camera. I could have ran it straight down the wall on the outside, and in via the aerial hole as that has been disconnected. Only reason I didn't is because it's quite old cat5, and didn't know how well it would stand up to being outside.
