m4rtin Hi guys. I've just fitted the egr blanking plate with the egr valve to the side so the pin still operates. Started the car and ran fine. I've drove about 7miles and now the engine management light has come on. I've done the pedal test and there are no codes stored. Could these be related? I may re connect the egr valve tomorrow and hopefully it goes off. Then I will know to buy the cheater. Any help would be great 🙂 thanks
Matt It's always better to have the fault codes read just in case it's something else that could be causing an issue. Reconnect the egr valve, disconnect the battery to clear any codes, and see if it stays off.
m4rtin Ok mate I will do that tomorrow. And if the problem persists I will go to a garage to get the codes read.

m4rtin Well its deffinatley an intermittent fault as the light goes on and off as it pleases. So I've re fitted the egr valve and will take it for a drive later and hopefully it will stay off. And if so, I will purchase the cheater. Just seems weird as other people are using the blanking plate without the cheater and aren't having problems?
