I'm on nights this weekend (only plus side to this is the 11 hour shift on Saturday night due to the clocks going forward an hour). I'm then on call all of Monday because the supervisor on days is on leave.

my 4 day weekend has turned into a 5 day now as we dont have any work tuesday 🙁 .but at the weekend i'll be doing more stuff to my car and possibly working on the wifes astra ,depending on how it gets on in mot today

plans are to fit headlamp washers if they have come

Oh, and I get time in lieu plus half time for the hours I work that fall on a bank holiday (so 5 hours Friday, and 7 hours Monday)

yeah very quiet ,cant see me being in at all next week 🙁 .got a big job to do in derby 900m roof but we cant start that till 29th april

I take it the weather affects the work rate quite a bit then? I can't imagine much worse than having to work with hot tar in the summer when it's quite warm

yeah it has a big effect on my job ,need a few days of rain really

had a few snow flurries here earlier this morning ,then the sun came out was really bright and warm but now its gone ,bloody freezing and dull now

Well hello chaps! I've had the week off this week and not due back until next Tuesday. I'm still disposing of 2012 holiday. I had half days the week before to burn some up. I do need to start taking my holidays properly.

We've been to Weston Super-Mare this week and I was walking on the beach whilst it was snowing which was an experience in itself. We went to Longleat Safari Park yesterday and I actually held a snake and a scorpion! I've never done that before! I seem to have a quest to do certain things this year?? Anyway, i've put a holding deposit on a new car this afternoon. Its an Audi A4 Avant Sline 170. I'm off to see it tomorrow. If its as good as it looks in the pictures then hopefully I will have it.

The Vectra is going into storage. I need to get the bodywork sorted too at some time but its not a prioroty at the moment. There's no point in me trying to sell it either. I can't part with it! Its too much of me and couldn't bear anyone else having it.

well my weekend isnt going to plan .wifes car was supposed to be mot'd yesterday but the garage had all new mot equipment in so it got cancelled ,now going tomorro morning .went to fit the chains on my car today ,only to find that im missing the locating key for holding the cogs on the crankshaft :mad:
so ive now got one of them in the post to me in the week

Looks very nice John, slightly amazed that you are going down the Vag / Audi group again though. It's a similar colour to our Ibiza we have a common issue the plastics are a shade different to the body when you look at them in certain light, the front bumper in that picture looks slightly different shade but it could just be the picture.

Well after going to a wedding reception yesterday, I may clean the car before our lunch.

Well missus car failed but passed if you get me 😉 but this afternoon I will be sorting the rear brakes on it as they are non existent. Needs new pipes on it and something else didn't quite catch what he said on phone

So, I was awake from 7:45 yesterday morning, did a 25km run in my lunch break at work, and got home and in bed for 7:15 this morning.

I still woke up before 12:00 🙁

Just got back now. Still not right. They wanted top money for that car. I found many faults. Dent in roof, dent in door, rear NS light leaking, nasty scratch on front OS wing. Front and rear bumpers had been repainted but not very well. The paint had bloomed in one place, also over polished in another. There was also a lot of cutting compound left between panels. Also a very bad repair on the front bumper that needed doing again. You could see the filler where it hadn't been feathered out. As for the test drive, not enough power, the clutch was juddering on take up and gear change snatchy which indicates a fault with the dual mass flywheel assy. All in all I'm fucked right off! Got my deposit back though. 😉

I've decided that the A4 2.0TDi isn't for me anymore. I've driven 3 different ones now and it's not lighting my fire on the drive.
