Hi all, have just purchased a very clean and tidy Vec B cdx 2.2 auto in the best colour black with heated beige leather. I know! An old man's car but it will suit its comfy cruiser role very well judging by its waftiness so far.
Jobs done: New bulbs in climate control console.
Jobs to do: Timing chains (just ordered from the shop with 10% off ta!). Clean up the auto gear selector and maybe change the selector stick as I'm pretty sure the sport button is deceased. Change oil and filter.
The triple display works and says "check rear brake lights" whenever the car is started.
The steering wheel is intermittently off centre which could be play in the bushes as I have had a search? Also a very light knocking noise from the rear, probably ar bushes or rose bushes. The only mot advisories since 2008 have been wipers and a slight oil leak which I assume has been rectified by previous owners.
Anyhoo am looking forwards to a lot more wafting with the sunroof open (y)
