PowR_Remap Just wondering really, have been looking for some new bolts for my rocker cover once its polished up and wanted the blue coloured ones, but what metal? Are the Aluminum ones strong enough? as the cost of the titanium ones are much more...
guy_27 You could anodised the original ones. Any bolt will be fine though if you find something that suits your needs. Just make sure length is the same.
PowR_Remap It would probably cost more to get a bolt anodised that it would to buy 10 ready done, as they would be done in bulk and cost would be cheaper.

PowR_Remap Righty, I have measured my bolts on my metal rocker cover and they are M6 x 34mm 1.00mm thread. Closest I can find are 35mm long, is this going to be a problem or should they be ok? http://www.pro-bolt.com/aluminium-race-spec-m6-x-1-00mm-x-35mm-pk-x-10-blue-etched.html#.UUtaB1du9sk
PowR_Remap Actually, out of curiosity, when measuring a hex head bolt, do you measure from underneath the head for the length or do you include the head? If you include the head, the bolts are 34mm long, but if not they are 29mm long
PowR_Remap Not keen on halfrauds MikeS, plus this isn't a heat shield, its the cam cover, which is under pressure and load.
PowR_Remap MikeS said: yeh need decent bolts m8 Ok, cool.... Reckon ill get away with 30mm ones? originals are 29mm
PowR_Remap I will probably slide a thin screwdriver into the hole and mark the top and then measure and see what I get.
