flatbeat Just a quick question to anyone that uses engine flush when doing oil changes what's the best to use
Matt I've always used Wynns from Halfords. Some people recommend using a flush, some not. I've never had any issues using it on any of my cars.
MikeS wouldn't recommend it on a z22se engine, you dont know what will end up floating around in your engine afterwards and blocking up the oil jet feeding the chain
evocarlos personally i have never used flush in any of my cars during oil changes i did use it once when i did a engine rebuild it was only to get the inside clean i will do the same when i rebuild the z22se i also used wynns
m4rtin I use the wynns too. I use it every oil change just to make sure all the insides are clean before i put fresh oil in. Never had any issues. If anything I would have thought it would clean the oil jets to the chain?
Matt Only time I've had issue with using engine flush was on my old 1.1 MK3 Fiesta. It had a flush done, and started to piss oil from various places that were obviously being blocked by the baked on shit inside the engine.
