Hello All
Been reading lots and was just after some help! Had an emissions check today before mot in 2 weeks. The readings were -
0.6 should have been 0.2
the ppm reading was ok
the bottom reading (lambda sensor) was high cant remember values
The engine itself i think runs rich and lumpy its also burning 1l of oil every 600 - 700 miles. The small emissions light has been constantly on but earlier today was out for a short period.
Have just changed the clutch and sorted some other minor faults out before mot wipers, 2 tyres, gearbox oil and re-greased cv joints.
i am leaning from reading on here towards piston rings, i also just disconected the temp sensor by the thermostat housing and took it for a rip fans on constant and seemed more responsve and powerful. I took off the throttle body earlirer and cleaned it up on inspection saw a puddle of oil in the inlet manifold...
