The next chapter of the story started yesterday with Steve from Classic Car Services.
I decided after the centre console was done last year, that the dash had to be done in Nappa leather to match the rest of the interior.
But to enable a more relaxed time scale, we decided to get another dash and for Steve to re-trim and them swap it over once it's all done.
A good friend of mine and wizz Vauxhall Technician was scrapping an Astra G, so he offered me the dash. It just so happened to be about 100 yards from Steve's CCS workshop!
So yesterday morning we went to remove it.

Removed after about 20 minutes!

Then into Steve's workshop! Steve then started to mark out what was to be done, including where the red top stitching was going.

Not sure if this will be done for PVS, but even if it is, we may wait for Billing as there will be other things done before Billing.
This year will be spent pretty much on the interior. After the dash is re-trimmed and swapped, I will be doing the following in Nappa Leather :-
Roof Lid
Door Sill Trims
Front Kick Panels
Door Grab Handles
Then finally the door cards and rear quarter panels done. The idea here, is to do the black plastic in Nappa leather with red top stitch detailing. This may be done during winter 2013 when the car is off the road.
Finally, I will be fitting brand new Vauxhall carpets front and rear!
