Richard_3_Legs Hi All Finally finished rebuilding my Vectra B after bending all 8 inlet valves..... The car starts fine but the computer says "SAFE" Any ideas? WHat have I done wrong? Cheers,
evocarlos the stereo is in safe mode because the battery was disconnected you need to enter the code for the stereo from the car pass (4 digits) once you have the code:- with the ignition on press and hold the AS key till it beeps the code input will be on the display then use buttons 1234 on the stereo to put the code in it will be on the display use button 1 to edit the 1st number button 2 for 2nd and so on then when done press the AS key again if you enter the code wrong after 3 or 4 attempts it will only let you put a code in every hour if you don't know the code it will have to be taken to a vx dealer to be recoded was £15 last time i went but prolly more like £25 now
Richard_3_Legs Thanks for that........ (y) when I saw "Safe" come up I just assumed I had done something wrong in rebuilding the engine..... I never thought of something simple like a radio code..... ( feels like a plank )
