contacting a member

Hello everyone hope this is posted in the right place.
I was just wondering if it's possible to contact another member directly on here.
Its just I'm having some problems with my car and found an old post of someone with identical symptoms but they never said what problem turned out to be.

Is it possible to do this?
Sorry if it's like really obvious how to and I'm being a dope

Hi thanks for that I will give it a go.
Only problem is they haven't signed in since last april. Will they get an email notifying them of this or do I need to wait and hope they sign in?

They will get an e-mail, but that still doesn't mean they will come back and respond.
