evocarlos i take from this noise the clutch is slipping ?? its been doing it for the best part of 12 months not really affected the drivability of the car just a pain when reversing or pull off from a stand still
Daz Not clutch slip imo... more like a dry bearing on the concentric slave and when ure taking up the drive its making the noise...
evocarlos thanks daz it only noticable at low speed parking up mainlly but this looks like a job for the summer when the engine comes out then will put a new clutch on also and maybe a lightened fly wheel
corsaZ22se is it a full on race unit then? i did find that a standard genuine gm unit didnt last long (25k miles) in the vectra when it was running 172bhp. at the time quiet a few other people with tunned z22se's said the same thing and advised to use an uprated clucth.
evocarlos its just a standard clutch kit with about £3896 to much added on top thought they were good for up to 240bhp ?? only looking to replace to get rid of the noise at the vid in OP
corsaZ22se so did i when i brought the standard unit, the helix unit is ment to be good for around 300bhp and 300lbft torque. may pay you to have a look at the clutch while its apart to do the release bearing. try and get a clutch kit on sale or return. (y)
