Supercharger Exhaust Systems

Hi all, just wondering what exhaust systems people's have used for their supercharger setups. I'm still in the process of buying bits for mine but just found our my oem exhaust is on its way out.

I know Milltek is the most popular choice but has anyone used any different or even had a custom exhaust system made up instead?

ive got a weapon r manifold with a custom made down pipe 2.5" then a magnex centre pipe and a magnex twin slash backbox

I have a simons centre and back section. 2.5" all the way

Chris Tullet 4-1 manifold, Courtenay 2.5" downpipe, 5" dia 200 CPI sport cat, 2.5" Milltek cat back.

a 4-1 manifold and 2.5" system is best for 250bhp SC

Thanks everyone for the responses. Its good to know other people have used other than Milltek on their setups. I will most likely be heading down this route and see if I can afford a 4-1 mani if money allows.

i got a custom made powerflow a couple of months bak & the car is a lot better with it...i hav a piper manifold on mine,not everyones cupa tea but it seems 2 do the job ok...

There is powerflow dealer near me in St Albans so will be speaking with them very soon to see what they can do for me.

ye it made quite a bit of difference comin from the wrong exhaust 2 the right exhaust 🙂

it was 360 quid all in with a twin slash tail pipe 2.5"

tullet 4-1 then 3" downpipe, no cat ,1 small silencer 2.5" straight through powerflow with twin 3" out.
courtenays did get it up to about 265 bhp but it was too lean and would have burned the valves out

I have a Lexmaul 4-1 manifold with 2.5" downpipe, HJS 200cpi cat, smaller centre box than oe leading to a nive big 6"x4" oval exit (or is it slightly bigger :rolleyes: cant remember lol)

Thanks for the comments people. Will be looking into geting the exhaust sorted soon. The rear box is hanging only of one hanger lol.

I used the St Albans power flow branch years ago. Be interested to see if the guy there still has a Kawasaki Z1 in the upstairs. He was re-building it :-)

Popped in on Wednesday and there wasn't much on display upstairs.

They have estimated £350 to £400 for a complete cat back system and £250 for a 200 cell cat. They quoted £650 + VAT for a 4-1 mani. Will see what I can sort out.

About 8/9 years ago I had a custom cat back system made up by LongLife Exhausts. It cost £375 so the price you've had quoted sounds good to me. The 200cpi cat price is also right. Personally I would get myself a Chris Tullet 4-1 manifold which is readily available and is a proven entity. Tullet manifolds are £515 IIRC. I have one and its on the list as one of the best modifications that I've made.

Cheers Johnny was it drowney? I always liked you're exhaust going all the way back when we first did PVS in 07 or 06?

That tail pipe design may look nice on the Ibiza if we decide to change it.

It was quite a respectable sound. Not intrusive at all. Not like the hooligan I've got now, lol!

i would agree but i got to take mine off to check it cos i think its blowing!
