Hi all was recommended you guys by vectra-c.com i have a 2.2 petrol vectra elite with 112k and has a problem on start up.
There is a loud clicking coming from the left hand side of the engine (if looking from the front). noise disappears after 2-3 mins.
Was told that the tensioner was gunged up and that an engine flush and oil change would sort it, and it didn't.
So i have a few questions as i have spoke to a few garages some won't entertain doing it and some are saying that i should just change the tensioner as it's located at the back of the engine and the engine is running fine with no rattling so the chain is fine.
So question 1 is it possible to take the tensioner out and replace just that?
and if not
question 2 Who in the north east can change the the whole timing chain for me without taking my eyes out?
