Coolant On Seat Ibiza

After having the cambelt change / waterpump done I was told to keep a eye on the water levels, now I have been keeping a close a eye on it and topped it up three times with G12 coolant not allot but just enough so it was halfway between max and min mark.

Is there a particular time I need to check the level, when hot or totally cold?

I have not noticed any leaks but not been looking.

Does this sound normal for a turbo car after having a full coolant change?

U need to check when stone cold si and on a level surface.
The new coolant will take a little time to find its level as there cud be small airlocks in the system.
