My Gaming Pc 2012

he all just wanted to show some pics of my pc 🙂

its taken about 5months to build
and has just got me a 7th place prize in a compo

specs are
mobo - asus rampage 3 xtreme
cpu - intel core i7 3960x (6core)
memory - 16gb g skill 2133mhz running 2400mhz
gpu - 4 x nvidia 480gtx in quad sli
hdd - 2 x corsair 120gb ssd's in raid 0 1000mb/s read and write 🙂
psu - sliverstone 1500w
case - corsair 600t
and errr every thing is water cooled
its got some custom copper pipe work thats been nickel plated and

200+ fps on full settings 🙂

i tred to get more from the ssds but there 1st rev of the drive so not updated the firmware i did try it with 3 and 4 ssd's but with only having 2 intel sata 3 ports the other drives in the sata 2 ports made the whole thing slower
i went for the super quiet also
i did have a 5.3ghz 2600k back in the day

That's one impressive rig, I stopped quite a few years ago building gaming rigs due to the cost and stuck with consoles not that I get much time these days for games.

It certainly looks like a well made bit of kit ( but that's about as far as my water cooling knowledge goes 🙁 ). Will it give an improvement over the one you currently have fitted?

looking at the spec's and knowing what my cpu runs at it maybe like 1-2c improvement over all but im going to sell it as the parts ive got now are matched and nickel plated in and working 🙂

2years later its looking a bit sorry for itself lol took the case out side and blew about 2kg of dust out of it lol

still to wipe it down with a microfiber cloth

after the raid crash the other day im assuming that one drive may be past its sell by date
the intel rom for the raid is showing s.m.a.r.t error even tho smart is not monitored in raid lol i will disable it in the bios
i have already reset the stations in RST 🙂

further testing in OS shows no error

there is also some performance loss with the age altho its consistent in read/write speeds

other that that its been running every day for the last 2 years without issue 🙂

i played the beta then stop playing the BF series to many noobs complaining the weapons were to powerful so they changed the game and it was just not right
that was bf3 i never got in to bf4 🙂

tbf i hardly game on it now apart from ass creed and portal 2 now and again 🙂

You are right about bf3 was epic multiplayer spend around 1500 hours on 360 missing some times, but bf4 shit un balanced with classes tanks is useless what you can hear pyp pyp pyp and to much campers with sniper rifles half team in the bushes... Lol but I'm still in it again 360 hours already on bf4 nothing else to play titanfall crap call of duty tent lovers everywhere... Happy with X1 32x32 real war... Sniper elite maybe next week I will get bored off bf4.
