With older versions of ghost you may need to create the 100mb partition and image that then the rest of your disk.
When imaging to a bigger disk on same hardware no need to worry about drivers.
Yes, it's a full version for 30 days. I have a full purchased version of Acronis TI 11, but that doesn't work on Windows 8, which is why I downloaded the trial.
I only really want the image for a backup purpose incase something was to happen with the SSD in the laptop, and I was to put it back in (highly unlikely I know, and everything on there is backed up onto the NAS anyway).
So I could just use the software that came with the SSD to clone the Win8 drive onto the laptop drive, and not back it up.
Or, I just bite the bullet, and buy a new 3.5" drive and clone straight onto that (and I won't need a fitting adapter then as well)
