Big_Dave Fitted a 120 amp one yesterday not sure what amp one I took off started the car ran battery light went out then car cut out and won't run any ideas please help
vocky yes the 100Amp and 120Amp are a straight swap, even the 140Amp saab B207 alternator can be used. Might be a blown fuse in the relay box next to the battery
Big_Dave Just stuck was ment to be picking my little sister up from town at 12 and no joy with that now was starting to think crank sensor what you think
Big_Dave Will it also loses fuel pressure if battery is needing charging cos it seems really weak at the rail and pump only primes for a sec or 2
vocky The crank sensors are very reliable on the z22se, very rare for them to fail. If the eml is flashing then it's an immobiliser issue.
Big_Dave Vocky mate no I've noticed no elm what so ever been thru all hidden fuses I can find found them ones next to battery at front and back are they common for Ecu's going down
vocky It does seem to be a blown fuse or bad connection somewhere, the fuses are hidden underneath the relays next to the battery, they are the big 60Amp ones
Big_Dave Found them but all looked ok I was starting to think ignition switch the old cavs used to be pron to it making head aches lol
