Well last week i changed my coolant as it was basically water id topped it up that many times. I drained the old coolant out which was blue and put a hose in the expansion tank and flushed it through untill the water ran clear. I bought some new coolant from vx which was red (why i flushed it). I put 2lts of coolant in then about 1ltr of water and the expansion tank was up to the fill line. So i started the engine with the expansion cap off, put the heaters on full and let it get to temp untill the fan kicked in hoping the level would drop, which it didnt. Now the heater went hot, and the pipes top and bottom of the rad were hot so theres not a blockage. I also squeezed them to help any air, if there was escape. But now im getting a leak (few drops) of coolant at the back of the engine to the left. The level hasnt dropped atall in the expansion tank so its not major but its bugging me! Could a too high ratio of coolant cause seals to leak? Im hoping its not the water pump and just a simple fix. Any help would be great thanks! Sorry to ramble on haha
