evocarlos corsaZ22se said: are the pipes the wrong way round then carl? yes the pipe from the inlet goes to the fpr and the bottom nipple on the bypass valve is left open to air or you dont get boost 🙂 pottsey said: the pipe off the bypass valve to the inlet doesn't need to be there ,it is left off open to atmosphere beat me to it lol
evocarlos corsaZ22se said: thought they didn't look quite right. thanks guys! (y) its a good thing to remember to blank the bottom nipple on the bypass if your letting someone drive your car 🙂
corsaZ22se some one else drive my car? that would be like letting some one else sleep with my girlfriend! kinky!? :cautious:

Dave_Gilbert i dont know what i would hate more, someone driving my car or someone having a go on our lass. id say its a close one
corsaZ22se it all depends on how they treat her! could always get another girl friend but its much harder to replace a project car!
corsaZ22se well good and bad news, bad news is that the charger is coming off, work has gone mad so no time to do much to her as im working 7 days a week now and 12hours + most days. good for the modding fund piggy bank though. 🙂 good news is the part ordered for zzp on Monday arrived today! 🙂 dual pass end plate, better coolant pump, magnetic sump plug and charger oil.
corsaZ22se removed the charger and manifold to do the dual pass mod, used a jubilee clip to grip the laminova cores to pull them out, gave them a quick clean as they were pretty clean anyway, fitted new o rings and reassembled, plumbed up the new dual pass and coolant pump then decided to re wire the front of the engine as I wasn't 100% happy with it, then trail fitted the rad's and front bumper again which led to re routing the charge cooler plumbing. also fitted a BMW tensioner pulley to the Courtenay mount to get more wrap on the charger and alternator pulleys and get more space at the front for coolant pipes. girlfriend came round so had to fiddle with her and leave the car for another time, anything for a quiet life.😉
evocarlos corsaZ22se said: removed the charger and manifold to do the dual pass mod, take them off lol the shitty paper gaskets nothing but a pain in the ass 🙂 i also looked at the zzp dual pass endplate but after having to cut the ends of the pipes off to get clearance with the fan blade i just modded mine with a pipe barb it is working yet put the girlfriend down and get it done lol
corsaZ22se finally got rid of the girl but it was gone 10am time I got back to fiddling with the car today, still, made good progress with the wiring, still not perfect but it will do until after PVS when im going to fit a new complete front end loom to the car, repin the ecu to body plug so as to do away with all the extra loom and joins in it. re routed starter and alternator tiggers and removed 1.5metres of wire from both by doing this! finished plumbing the vacuum lines, mounted the ecu in its new location, got plenty of wrap on the charger and alternator pulley's now. hope to get it running by lunch time tomorrow! 🙂 I see what you are saying about the paper gasket carl, they don't stick to the inner section very well. had the same trouble as you on my x20xev but that's ported out far more than standard so only 3mm of gasket left in some parts! using m8 studs on this see if that holds any longer with a bit more clamping force?
evocarlos i still dont think its going to fit 🙂 i do like your solution for the belt ""cam belt pulley"" 🙂 10/10 for that idea whats it from ?
corsaZ22se it doesn't fit carl that's why the slam panel is off! the pulley comes from a BMW M3 Evolution crankcase ventilation pump drive belt. got mine from local motor factor made by INA will post part number later for you.
corsaZ22se well................. she's ALIVE! Weeeepp! only trouble is I have dtc p1336, need to have new ecu relearn crank position signal. can anybody come and help me with this please? will pay fuel cost and a bit more to the 1 who fixes it! will post some photo's later. 🙂
evocarlos you need to use opcom to relearn crank angle sensor under the engine/z22se/programming menu
corsaZ22se don't have opcom. 🙁 do have weeeeeep though! 🙂 drives great although taking it steady in the wet its still quiet lively 😃 glad I fitted the astra gearbox and not the vectras 4.17!
