color is a little darker than the car but then the car does have 10 years of sun so hoping in a few months is fades back

just spent 30mins on the drivers side of the roof

1500 wet & dry

2500 wet & dry

3000 wet & dry

G3 and the mop with a hard pad

the finish after g3 - megs ultimate compound and ultimate polish

now just working on 3 coats of wax megs ultimate wax - megs tech wax 2.0 - AG HD wax

well the original paint is bluer than the sun bathed paint
heres the boot lid and the bit thats sat under the window rubber you can see its blue like the new paint on the roof

bumpers next 🙂 get it the right color then the wing

Looks really well Carl, should you apply wax so early to fresh paint? Personally I carnt see how high carnauba wax can react on fresh paint just heard from painters before.

makes no difference si its 2pak lacquer its was dry yesterday 🙂
have spent the time with the wet and dry today was a sure test for it normally you can do the nail test if it marks the paint then you have to leave it more time
this was sat it the burning sun for 4 hours yesterday to its fully cured the top coat
most of the products i use are paint safe also 🙂

changed the brake fluid out for AP racing 5.1 tonight
then swapped the rear drivers hub that showed as faulty for the vxr one i had about
cut the plug off and soldered on the vxr plug now both the lights t/c - abs are on all the time lol

tried the 3 hubs and the only one that turns the lamps off is the original that i know is intermittently faulty

so bought a new hub for £39

the other side of the roof was flatted back and mopped up today just need to go and fetch the new trim clips the rear window rubber is a right bitch to fit

its not a bad color match with the trim installed it breaks it up a little

spoke to a mate who has a proper heated/extracted booth he said i could use for the day at a low rate so things might happen lol

got 2 major things out the way the last 2 days

update the logbook with the new engine number
reinsure the car with the charger 🙂 lets just say its cheaper than last years N/A insurance hehe

went to vx and picked up the new trim clips and managed to get a set of silver seat belts for £20 from the service manager as he recently bought a 2.2 coupe and now don't want the belts

new bits
esp abs unit and g meter

been under the car today and the rear hubs are fine the wires and plugs are fine and one picks up movement on op com but not the rear drivers side the wiring goes in to the car at the fuel tank so it cant be inside wiring at fault im still putting it down to a faulty abs ecu
