heres the difference in where the crimping tools were made 🙂 you can see the good one

rubber crimped into the terminal as it should be but the plugs are shat lol and the rubbers dont fit in the hole

made up the new injector plug leads with the right color wire and cable braiding

got burnt in the sun taking the car apart so spent most of the night chilling watching stargate lol

yeah i bought it from rapid online used it 15 times and only got one good one out of 15 so told them to have it back they refunded my money and said keep the tool lol not much use

hey dave its an MDPC psu crimping tool best there is perfect crimp everytime

ok so heres another one whats the flab about a 100 amp alternator for the super charger mod ??
i just found 100amp one in the batcave from 6 years ago that i bought as bulk
my car has the 120amp
but there the same size lol

Thanks Carl. I mainly use molex connectors so the MDPC Crimping tool looks ideal. I have a car ring terminal one but much prefer PC PSU type connectors for my projects 🙂.

I'm in the market for upgrading my alternator and battery soon with my planned upgrades but need to find what the biggest battery and alternator I can fit in the car. The 100 and 120 do look the same size......

120 amp's casing is 2 or 3 mm bigger which makes it touch the inlet manifold. Space is very limited. Later on I heard 100 amp alternator were produced in 120 casings... To make things even more confusing. Did you measured up both alternators?

ive not measured them up the 100amp is an early astra alternator my 120 is the new style i take it but there not 2-3mm bigger there pretty much the same size
just looking for the bin so all the charger bits can go in it
just cba to much hassle so much for being bolt on lol its only bolt on if the engine is a bare block and on a pallet

I wasn't aware of any sc'd cars keeping the AC but would be nice to see it done.

I used spacers to move the aircon pump forward. About 1 inch if I recall right. I will measure it up for you. That way and with a little careful bending the pipework and the manifold will just fit. Moving the pump forward will mean you need another length aux belt. I'll check that for you too.

You'll need longer bolts for the pump too because of the spacers
