found a box of brand new o-rings in dads tool kit so i emptied the box and put them on the clean laminovers

also had to repair the chargecooler end plate looks like it was chipped in transit from the usa
used some stainless steel sheet bent to shape then filled over so i could keep the gasket groove

bird poo lol need a new lance for me welder

filed down

groove was opened up with a 3mm drill and a steady hand

all done 🙂

just need to get an elbow and a 19mm barb to make the input pipe

just trying to find the full kit in the uk there are parts that are the same in the range of eaton sc e45/e62/e90/e112/e122 but just need to get the right needle bearings

buy a pulley puller they said it will work they said

i made my own 🙂 after fixing it and welding a bar to it
pulley off incoming modular 🙂

also the shout has been checked over and seams the bearings are strong and good so only need the 4 main bearings to replace

You loosing all your climate control Carl? Presume you are going stage 2?

hope not lol
yeah im setting up for stage 2 🙂 but with a modular pulley i can go quite small hence the need to change the bearings for brand new ones
i have a gsi bumper ready with the front cut for the large water rad 🙂
the water pump bracket for the charge cooler is like 5kg lol thats getting modded to be lighter its only there to hold the pump

lots of work to do and tools n parts to buy

Climate control will work with the supercharger

have they not coded the ecu flash with idle control then ?
its not really climate control just automatic air con

overnight parts from the states 🙂

also have the injector plugs coming

im taking the charge cooler end plate to work tomorrow and having a alloy block tig'd on then drilled and tapped to take the input pipe 🙂

I don't know. I retrofitted ECC also and it works fine after installing the S/C.
Are u using the belt tensioner that came with the kit? Or just the original one?
I think you'll need a different alternator to use the original tensioner of the cobalt ss. One which spins in reverse order.

thats good news that it still works 🙂
well i have looked at the belt tensioner but not decided on a root of action yet
what harm will running the alternator backwards have apart from the cooling fan not working right ??
just went for a look in your thread but all the images are dead ? 🙁

I was told regular alternator might break as it is designed to spin in a certain way.
I will look at those photos tonight.
