I use Ultimax or black stuff as some call it and they seem good.

few more jobs done 🙂
this disc was sanded and then repainted with 2 pack black paint
fitted the new pads and then put the caliper lever in the nickel plating dip for 2 hours🙂

then cleaned off the underseal off the tail pipe and then give it a polish

Exhaust tip looks much better, did you apply the nxt with micro fibre cloth after the wire wool?

Also did you use standard backing pad on he DA?

i used the das6 with a soft pad but its not perfect the wire wool is medium i need some fine took ages to get the shine back as it was so corse

its the standard velcro backing pad there velcro sanding discs 🙂

got a load more done but not got any pics as its dark

I normally use 00 wire wool or a very old scotch pad.

ahh good idea i used a scotch pad when i polished my copper pipe work in the pc

well for this weekend its get the scuffed wheel sorted put some paint on the rear arches there chipped from the bending 🙁
setup the hand brake then im going to remove the front calipers and paint them and the new 308mm discs then fit the new drop links if i have time i will do the track rod ends to but got no money to get them set up 🙁

i,ll soon be on to the engine head off crank out 🙂

im hoping to fill the nick with primer

did try and polish the boot strip but it badly pitted 🙁

wheel arches aren't looking to good 🙁

have now both been sanded and krusted going to put some primer on soon

wheel is taking shape 🙂

and a new trim that was titan gold but has no rusty insides £5 for a full set of trims 🙂

had a mate come over and it slowed me down some started back up at about 10ish after i had eaten
took it out last night the one rear brake was sticking and the other side still low on performance was thinking its the caliper but now i just think it needs bleeding
still some tweaking for the handbrake setup

my piston seal was split good job i had a pair of calipers spare for parts also cleand the piston with wire wool

how many parts to a caliper -- that many 🙂

Carl, is wire wool the way forward with cleaning the calipers? I have a set that I have used a wire brush (drill) on, but tbh I'd like to get them somewhere near as clean as yours.

the wire wool was just for the pot and the sliders the rest was with the power of greyskull 🙂
but the angle grinder with different wire brush attachments helps 🙂 (gloves,dust mask, safety glasses,ear defenders)

nout like the smell of fresh paint and genuine GM pads 🙂
