i had platinums in before i put denso iridiums in.

cant say i saw a difference with either but the densos should have been about £40 (should be good for that i thought) got them for £7 haha bargain

heres what the inside of a bypass valve looks like
this one is broken lol it was before i took it appart

new map sensor came

after a trip to vx and then getting limp mode from the t/b i took the cover off to see if any water had got in it was dry

it was dry but they tell me it could be related to the abs ecu not functioning right and it controls the t/b during t/c

fk you hydra lol

wanted astra z22se ecu/chip/ring 🙂 then need to find the spare abs ecu it moa in the batcave

3 hours to remove the abs ecu and 15mins to fit the replacement oh the fun
the pre test with it just plugged in show connection and disconnection

yay all working

no DTC's present

proofs in the pudding no more t/c lamp

ive also gone a bit vauxhall 🙂

So was it the ABS ECU causing all the issues?

well the map and the lambda needed to be replaced but the t/c lamp and c0607 code were a dead abs ecu

i tried to go to work in the car this morning but only got 100 yards then the eml came on and had no throttle control
i had fitted the ls4 t/b and it don't like it one bit so will refit the lsj t/b and fingers crossed it works if not time for a ecu reprogram

no if the ecu i faffed i will strip the engine and get the bits done i want doing then trailer the car to cs 🙂

just took it out for a spin now i got the lsj t/b back on it would well up to 4k then cacks it hard limp mode and no throttle control
p1523 & p1514 on the ecu and c0256 & c0241 on the abs ecu

i tryed the ls4 at billing got thru the site to the main road and had to pull over and fit the lsj lol

that i dont know lol all seams to be working the t/b is the P codes and the C codes are related to the t/b not working
so with 2 t/b's not working and doing the same thing i doubt it would be the t/b maybe a connection issue
i can get the ecu reprogrammed at vx the map would be untouched as its a different part of the ecu but if its a faulty ecu then the only way to fix it would be replace it i think
i am going to rip the head of it soon if its not sorted wasting time need to get it ready for RR day lol

fault codes gone away 🙂 cars now drivable to 6000rpm
bought some contact cleaner on the way home and washed the ecu plugs out then the t/b plug and let them dry
then went to go get fuel
the only issue is a misfire at 3k on acceleration after coming off the throttle then back on like the old 2.2 thing but stronger
need to go and see if theres codes but no lamps on

have you found an ECU set yet? I know someone who's breaking an astra 2.2 coupe. chain failure.

get me the short block i need the crank 🙂 i have a friend sending me an ecu if he can find the car pass code

the car is working 🙂 i think you missed my last post hehe just a slight miss at 3k on acceleration
