Mk4 Astra Speaker Cable Run Help??

Hi all tomorrow il be updating the speakers in my 3dr astra, to get the most out of the speakers il be using new lengths of cable all round. My question is..... where do I run the cable for the front door speakers?? as all the factory cables running to the doors are bunched together inside a rubber gator and there doesn't seen to be any room to accommodate my new cable, I don't won't to go about drilling holes that don't need to be drilled.
So Any help would be very much appreciated

tbh theres not much point in running new cables
mine are all 2 times the lenth having to go to the boot and back for the brain and never had any problems with quality or feed back

if you really need to run new cables there's a vid on youtube i saw the other day using a drill and a large hammer 🙂

Thanks for the reply Carlos great video but after alot of head scratching I opted to use the
factory cable instead, I just wasn't confident enough to start drilling holes for the cable to pass, also I wanted to amp speakers up but I couldn't find any direct route to feed the power cable through the firewall to get to the battery

TBH, there isn't really any need to run newer / "better" cables unless you are going the whole hog on a full SQ install. Even then, I still don't really see the point in spending extra on cables, when the money could go elsewhere in the install.

the best place for the power cable it thru the throttle cable hole as with the 2.2 there's no cable so its a spare bung that can be used but be sure to silicone the cable to the bung to stop you or the passenger from getting wet feet 🙂

the standard cable has been fine it my install with a 50w RMS amp powering the speakers in the car for many years

Thanks again for the advice, that engine bay looks so neat and tidy, and you have done a great job to make that power cable really look
like it's supposed to be there, as Iv seen alot of people do this without thinking about the presentation factor and it really does look a mess. I will take all this in to account when I start amping up the boot install. I will post some pics up when I'm done

i used small zip ties to hold the cable in place the tail of the zip tie is folded under the rubber seal at the back there is also a 200amp snl fuse and holder even tho the alternator is 100+amp and the battery is 80amp the old setup had a current draw of 200amps (80+80+40) so wipped the single battery out in about 4mins with out the engine running i then fitted a 100amp battery in the boot that gave me 30min before both batterys were flat it also made the batterys only last 14months
but now im down to just one large amp and the 5ch Dolby surround amp so 120amp draw

fitting this large cable to the rear of the car required some cutting of clips from the inside of the trim just enuff to let the cable thru without messing with the trim fitment
