Ok guys
This one is starting to beat me
I have a 2002 Zafira (automatic) with low K's
I have been having a few issues every now and again getting the car to start or even just crank.
Here is what is happening
every now and then (only if the car is warm and has been driven for a while) if i turn the car off and then let it sit for a few minutes the car will not start. It will not even crank over just makes a single tick sound.
My first thought was the starter motor as that was what the symptoms were so off i go and purchase a new starter motor and replaced it thinking that the problem would be solved but it was not long until it happened again
Next i started to think it was a problem with the transmission as the transmission was about to dies (was slipping and shuttering heaps) so eventually i got around to getting another transmission and fitting it (from a low k's smashed car). So i put the new transmission in and now she drives beautifully and i thought the problem was solved but im still having a issue getting the car to crank every now and again.
This only seems to happen once the car is warm and has been driven for a while it has never happened cold.
Now to get it started once this happens here is what i have to do. Either i let the car fully cool down or if i keep turning the key on and off trying to get it to crank and eventually it will crank and start.
any thoughts on what this could be and where to start looking
I have plugged in my PC with a OBD11 and im not getting any error codes
help please
