2_216v I have a 2.2 astra g coupe..has anyone used iridium spark plugs in there car..and do they really make much difference? Price wise they are so much dearer then normal bosch plugs
JohnnyN No difference and about £40 dearer. I have a set and ran them for a week. Took them out and replaced with new GM plugs. The Iridium plugs have been sat on my garage shelf ever since.
Matt I also ran iridium plugs on the VXR.....and took them straight back out and have ran genuine GM plugs since
evocarlos have had mine in for 5 years not much difference on performance but they last 3 times longer 50k-60k insted of 20k from them cacky 3 prong standard ones

I was always in fear of the dreaded leaky head after a plug change. I bit the bullet and swapped them for another set of GM plugs and haven't noticed any difference in performance or MPG. Service book says 80k and for once it looks like its right.
evocarlos i had problems with my car early on in its life egr / ecu / alternator it spent 6 weeks a vx getting fixd, egr was removed new ecu and a new alternator it had the 3 pin plugs and never run right i swapped them for a good quality single prong plug they worked well but once the car hit 15k i put the iridium tip plugs in always seams quick and nippy now but 26-28 mpg is the best my car can do its on 53k now so in another 4 years they will be ready for replacement 🙂 but they will prolly get changed when i do the timing chain these are the ones i have i still have the box with the original 3 prongs in it http://www.ngksparkplugs.com/products/spark_plugs/laser_iridium.asp?mode=nml#
Gary_Cusdin I put them in about 2 months ago. Don't notice difference but I would never expect to on a single upgrade. Personally I think they are better but it's a personal preference I think. I always put them into any car I will have

JohnnyN I have a set of Denso Iridiums in my garage right now. I ain't going to use them. I'll sell them to anyone who wants them.
