Rattle!

i started my car the other day and the engine had an awful rattle, after i drove it for couple of miles and it warmed up it went away, and hasnt come back since :confused:. would the chain do this? just a bit worried of what it might be. anyone have any ideas? thanks

Where a outs did the noise come from? What's the age and mileage of the car? It could be the chain. If it is you need to get it sorted ASAP.

just from the engine area i didnt open the bonnet and have a look , it had stopped before got a chance, its a 2001 51 plate . 140,000

With that age and mileage, if it has never been done before I would think about getting it done.

I got mine done 2 years ago less than 400 and it gens vxr parts too

you have little choice, if the chain rattles then your engine is about to die (n)

Going from my experiance (see bad luck thread) id get on to more imediatlybefore it does let go and cause ou like me a world of hurt and pain to the wallet
