Aaaaarrrgh. Clutch connector pipe won't seal.

I know this aint a Z22 and its not normal for me to be stumped like this.
The car is a 2000 X Reg Astra with a Z16 engine.
Ive been replacing the engine and also had the box out.
The main problem is that I cannot get the connector where the flexi pipe clips onto the slave cylinder connection to seal. I have new seals and new clips. I can get it to clip on ok but it simply will not seal and simply leaks when I try to bleed it.
Any ideas??

the knuckle with the bleed nipple? those things are a bastard to get back on when they want to be. you can just pry a little with a screwdriver to keep its attaching part on the gear box from moving downwards, you should hear a little click once its located.
it may take a while but it will go back on eventually after much swearing thrown spanners etc just persist.
allegedly they just pop on but this isnt always the case as mine sucked to.

Getting it to pop on isn't the problem. Its getting it to seal. I am seriously considering putting in a new pipe and doing away with it. Then simply bleed it out of a union where the flexi joins in.

trust me thats exactly the same as it thought, eventualy i did get it to seal.... does yours have a 'U' shaped spring that slots in to hold it back once on?

Yes it does have the U shaped clip, however I think Ive caused a bigger problem now by trying 2 seals and popped the slave cylinder with too much pressure. :-(
I think it's another weekend on the spanners for me, whipping this box oot AGAIN. And a wages job on a Punto that has just chapped on my door this afternoon.
