So after getting the majority of mechanics fixed with the coupe im now concentrating on styling.

1) The Rear Vauxhall Badge i wanted to remove to replace with an newish opel style badge, unsure how they remove or where abouts on ebay i need to look as they all have different pins apparently.

2) Front grille is a slatted sports grille, i wanted just the irmscher I logo i see lots again on ebay but im unsure how these fit as they appear to be just stuck on, however i cant see how they stick on the front grille of the coupe.

Any help would be appreciated :-)

The rear Vauxhall badge is held on my sticky pads, and there is a hole in the boot lid which centres it. Just remove it using a hair dryer and credit card.

Have you got a picture of the current front grille fitted, as it may be a cheap replacement one, or it could be an proper irmscher one just with the i missing?

Soon as i get the car back tomorow morning ( in for front bumper respray as the cars going pink lol ) i will grab a picture because im unsure if the Grille is irmscher or cheap sports replacement off ebay, it looks old i would say as the black has started to change and fade color also, but i will get a picture and link it tomorrow

Oh also what size is rear badge on the coupe? looking on ebay as theres quite a few different sizes.

I would have thought the badge is the same in all the MK4 Astras. Not sure on the size though, mine went almost 5 years ago.

Did you a manage to get a picture of the grille?

Hey sorry about the delay in replying busy at work this week, yeh the badges i looked at on ebay are showing as self adhesive or pins but all different sizes and i dont want to remove mine then end up buying the incorrect one, same as the grille really, anyway heres a picture of the Grille i took the other day i think its quite old as its rusting i thinks, dont mind the new shiny red bumper i just had sprayed 🙂 lol

It looks like a replica Irmscher one. If it was genuine, on the back side of it, there will be an irmscher logo and part number moulded into the grille.

Best off just getting a new grille then you thinks? ive not seen another astra with as much orange on its grille, bonnet is in need of a respray shortly anyway along with new headlights so could replace the whole lot at the same time perhaps.
