Headlight help needed!!

Hi guys, i fitted a pair of angel eyes to my coupe back in the summer. But now as its getting darker earlier i realised that they needed levelling as i dont really drive at night. So i went round to my local garge today to get the leveled. And to my shock the guy said to me that they were made for left hand drive cars as the beam slopes to the right instead of the left! I checked it my self and it does! The headlights are fully E4 marked which i have just found out they were tested in the Netherlands who.... drive on the right had side :mad: so ive just referred back to where i bought my headlights from and they say that 'These are brand new, boxed and have full EU Compliant 'E' markings. This means they are fully road legal in the UK and Europe, unlike many other lights available on ebay, and will therefore pass all UK MOT tests. Im wondering whether i can maybe turn the lense 180 degrees? Would that work? Any help or info would be great gu[SIZE=3]ys. Thanks [/SIZE]

Some of the aftermarket angel eyes can be switched between left and right hand drive. Look where the bulb fits into the headlight or have a look at the instructions.

Yeah as above it got switch inside just next where the bulb holder are
My xenon got them too lol

Sorry for late reply guys only managed to have a look today. Yeah there was a lever next to the bulb, i just moved it up to the top and they work fine now (y) no more blinding on coming traffic haha thanks for the info!!

Just wish more people would do this. Amount of shitty cars I see now with HIDs fitted that are badly fitted and blind you :banghead:

haha i know most of the cars i see with HID's fitted are awful! Which reminds me i need to get new bulbs for mine. The Halfords own brand ones are terrible so i need to upgrade. Dont really want to go down the HID route, so are there any bulbs that you guys recomend?

Osram nightbreaker plus are pretty good, a lot whiter and supposedly brighter too. Probably a lot cheaper than halfords

I have the Philips X-Treme fitted to my Astra (had them in the Vectra as well)

I had a look at these bulbs and they seem really good. But i stumbled across ring xenon ultima bulbs and have decided for them, found them on ebay for £15.50 bargain!

Well i fitted these bulbs at the weekend and have to say the light out put has increased, much more light on the road, but not as much as i was hoping for. I dont think its the bulb however, more the headlight unit itself. I did read that the angel eye headlight isnt the best for light out put, maybe its to do with the projector style lense?

Yes, the angel eyes are known for a bad light output. Best headlight in the Astra are the original ones.

The Phillips-Extreme bulbs are great, used them in my Depo-projectors and also in my Meriva.

I've always found it to be a bit hit and miss with output. The Philips Extreme have been in use on my cars for almost 5 years now.
