Nervous!

Checked my oil yesterday and it was literally just on minimum, barely registering on the actual gauge marks! Think it was about 0.5mm showing on the min-max gauge (at the base of bar one).

It was on about 3 bars about 1500 miles ago.

Could there be any damage from the oil getting this low?

If it's still on the dipstick, it should still be OK. There is normally a litre between the min and max mark.

Thanks Matt, I have never known this car to use that much oil so quickly. Going to keep a very close eye on it for the future!

worth checking for oil leaks in the usual suspect places

water pump, crank seals, tensioner, power steering pump seal, cam cover gasket
