Hi, I wondered if anyone can help. I had my head rebuilt and new piston rings and big end shells fitted on my Vectra 2001 2.2sri in September. When i got the car back after about a week the engine management light came on so i got it on a Tech 2 and it came back with Egr fault, So I got a good second hand one from local breakers light went out the car run fine for 3 weeks then light came on again same problem Egr fault, The garage that I use cleared the code the car then run fine again for another two weeks then on comes the light again. I have noticed the light seems to come on after the car has been on a run does this make a difference?....Also I approached my local vx dealer and they said you cannot blank off the Egr on 2.2 as it fries the ecu?..
Any advice on these matters would be appreciated
