Corsa C Sloppy Steering

The Corsa has still got an apparent issue with the steering.

We've so far had the track rod ends changed, full 4 wheel alignment, and a full re-balance done.

The car judders through the steering wheel between 60 and 70mph, and if the car is stationary, if you wiggle the wheel, there is a lack of resistance for about 25[sup]O[/sup] either way on the wheel.

I'm beginning to think it could be the steering rack which is on it's way out. Anyone else have any thoughts?

When I had a C it was a very common fault, I had mine done under Warranty at the time, is it knocking at all when stationary?

Yeah, and it also knocks quite bad some times when going over bumps in the road.

I am no mechanic but sounds like the same issue I had and mine when it was the steering rack and they are a "common" fault.

Cheers Si, I've done some google searching this morning, and does seem a pretty common fault. Going to try and get some prices next week to get it sorted then
