Morning all. It all started a few months ago when after getting rid of her Tigra twintop my Mrs woke me up showing me a picture of a dark blue mk4 2.2 Astra Sri saying "I want that one" I told her we didn't have that kind of money due to me heavily investing in our new business but if she gave me a couple of months I'd see what I could do. So I bought a Toyota MR2 Turbo for £250 slapped some tax and a fresh ticket on it, gave it the once over with the old machine polisher and sent it on its way for £850. The day after that sold we fell on a 2003 2.2 Sri Astra in the Blue that she wanted for £1600. After a bit of haggling we handed over £830 and took it home. Needless to say, getting it that cheap I knew there was gonna be a catch. Turns out there's a few. The main one being the misfire and ridiculous lack of power. So next week I shall be doing a compression test and checking the timing. With any luck it's the latter that's causing the problem.
Now enough about the bad points. A bit about the car. As I've mentioned it's an 03 SRi 2.2 with 105k it's got the prodrive bodykit on, HID's, and cruise control. Jobs for the near future are fixing the engine, swapping the cream leather out of my other Astra, replacing the HID's with standard halogen bulbs, but of paint work then it's detail time before it gets stickered up for business use.
